How to use Techshield Clear
Clean and dry the metal
Work on bare or finished metal that’s clean, dry and free of grease and loose rust. On previously rusted areas, treat the rust first — see our FE-123 guide.
Apply a thin, even coat
Use the Techshield Clear aerosol for detail work, engine bays and spot jobs, or the tin for brushing or spraying larger surfaces. Build it up in light, even coats rather than one thick one.
Let it cure
It dries to a completely clear, non-tacky, flexible film — a clean, dry finish that won’t stay sticky or attract dust and grime the way traditional wax oils do.
Inspect and top up
Because the film is clear, you can keep an eye on the metal underneath at any time and simply re-coat the exposed areas when needed.
