The new Hawk Waterless Coolants range, formerly Evans

Which Hawk Waterless Coolant Do I Need?

The short version: Hawk make a waterless coolant for almost every kind of engine, and the right one depends on what you are cooling — a classic road car, a race engine, a bike, a diesel, a boat or a light aircraft. Here is how the range maps to real engines. Whatever you choose, you will also need Prep Fluid for the conversion.

Classic and vintage cars

Hawk Classic Cool 180° is the one most of our customers want. It is made for classic engines — the ones most prone to overheating in traffic and to years of internal corrosion. If your car is older still, Vintage Cool 180° is formulated for veteran and vintage engines.

Performance and road cars

Hawk Power Cool 180° is the high-performance coolant, formulated for hard-working and modified engines — the same fluid chosen as factory fill by specialist sports car makers. If you have built or tuned your engine, this is the one.

Motorcycles

For bikes there are two. Hawk PowerSports is aimed at motocross, trial, enduro and quad bikes. PowerSports R is the version for road and race bikes. Both keep a hard-revving, air-starved bike engine out of the danger zone.

Heavy duty and commercial diesels

Hawk Heavy Duty is built for HGVs, plant, agricultural machinery and hard-worked diesels — the engines where cavitation damage to wet liners is a real and expensive problem. It comes in a 25L drum for fleet use.

Marine and aircraft

Hawk Marine Cool 180° is for marine engines, and Aero Cool 180° is formulated for Rotax and light aircraft engines.

Do not forget the Prep Fluid

Whichever coolant you pick, you convert with Hawk Prep Fluid first. It flushes the last of the water out of your system so the waterless coolant can do its job — see our step-by-step conversion guide.

Still not sure?

If your engine is not on this list, or you are between two options, just ask. We build and service engines out of the same yard, so we are happy to point you at the right one.

Everything in the Hawk range is held in Irish stock here at Liquid Technology in Co. Wexford — no customs, no delays. See the full Hawk range, or ring us on 089 448 6626 if you are not sure which one you need.
