Evans Waterless Coolants is now Hawk Waterless Coolants
The short answer: Evans Waterless Coolants has changed its name to Hawk Waterless Coolants. It is the same manufacturer, the same coolant and the same product names — only the brand on the label has changed. If you used to buy Evans Power Cool 180, you now buy Hawk Power Cool 180. Nothing about the fluid, the spec or the way you use it has changed.
What has actually changed
Nothing inside the bottle. After around 20 years building the waterless coolant market in the UK under the Evans Waterless Coolants UK name, the manufacturer has rebranded to Hawk Waterless Coolants. They have told us the changeover is seamless: same formulations, same products, no disruption to supply.
The individual product names are staying exactly as they were. Power Cool 180° is still Power Cool 180°. Only the brand name in front of it changes.

Why the change
The manufacturer says the new identity reflects how far the business has grown and where it is heading, and that the Hawk name better suits a technical, high-performance product. Their words for it are “precision, power and reliability”. There is a new website at hawkwaterlesscoolants.com, and everything now leaving their factory is Hawk-branded.

What this means if you are ordering
In practice, very little. Our listings now show the Hawk name, and new stock arrives in Hawk packaging. During the changeover you may receive a bottle with either label depending on what is on our shelves — it is the same coolant either way, so there is no need to wait for one or the other.
You do not need to do anything to an engine that already has Evans coolant in it. Hawk and Evans waterless coolant are the same product, so topping up or mixing between the two is not an issue.
Common questions
Is Hawk the same coolant as Evans?
Yes. It is a rebrand, not a reformulation. Same manufacturer, same formulations, same product names.
My bottle says Evans. Is it out of date?
No. Evans-labelled stock is perfectly good and works exactly the same as the Hawk-labelled equivalent. Use it as normal.
Do I still need Prep Fluid?
Yes, and this has not changed. Any residual water must be flushed out before waterless coolant goes in, so Hawk Prep Fluid is still an essential part of a conversion. The only exception is a brand new engine build with a new radiator.
